Top 5 Wednesday

Today is the last wednesday in March, so yay for another month passing. We have 8 weeks of school left…we can make it!

Today’s topic is Least Favourite Book in Your Favourite Series.

Don’t forget to check out the group on Goodreads,if you want to join the fun. And pop by Lainey’s Youtube which is gingerreadslainey.

1. “Crown of Midnight”

Out of all the Throne of Glass books I feel like this is the one which I liked a little less than all the others…still loved it though. This whole series is badaboomfantastic.

2. “The Retribution of Mara Dyer”

The third book in the trilogy was a little harder to get into at first, so I would say I didn’t like it as much as the other, but again I still loved this.

3. “The Iron Butterfly”

Believe it or not, I think the first book was the least “interesting” , I like this trilogy a lot, but the second and third book I enjoyed more.

4. “Mortal Heart”

Again one of my favourite trilogies and the third book I think was not as good as the first two. I didn’t fly through it like I did the first two and at times it was a little boring. But overall a trilogy that I highly recommend.

5. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”

I have only read the first three books and I didn’t like the first one really. I am not a really big fan of HP actually, so the books aren’t that big of an obsession for me anyway. Maybe it’s the estonian translation and some good jokes and things have gone missing, but I’m still planning on reading all the books.

Have you read an unfortunate fairytale series by Chanda Hahn?

I agree with you on Crown of Midnight, of course it is still fantastic, but this one was a little slow for me. It wasn’t as wonderful as the rest. I love Harry Potter, but I will say that once you get to book four it’s so much better. I personally love them all, but one and two, you kind of have to suffer through all this backstory without a whole lot of action, and Prisoner of Azkaban is like the oddball of them all, because technically Voldemort isn’t even in it. Only stories of him.

I’ve been wanting to read the His Fair Assassin Trilogy, would you still recommend it even though Mortal Heart is a least favorite? If you want check out my T5W list at

Yes, read it. The heroines and heartthrobs and super cool plot is all worth it 🙂
